Prostate Cancer Survivor
Brother Johnnie Richardson, Jr. is a 17-year prostate cancer survivor, and he has been cancer-free since August 2008. He has been a devoted member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. for over 40 years, serving in numerous leadership roles at the undergraduate, graduate, district, and international levels. A charter member of chapters abroad and a multiple-time recipient of Founder’s Awards, he has been recognized for his distinguished service with honors, including Omega Man of the Year, Superior Service, and multiple long-service awards. Beyond fraternal leadership, Johnnie is deeply committed to veterans’ advocacy, serving with organizations such as the Montford Point Marine Association and the Disabled American Veterans, while also volunteering with suicide prevention, homelessness support, and prostate cancer survivor outreach. A proud husband, father, and grandfather, he remains dedicated to faith, family, and lifelong service.
