Simpa S. Salami, M.D., M.P.H., is a fellowship-trained, board-certified Urologic Oncologist and Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Michigan. He obtained his MD from the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He completed a Master of Public Health program at Harvard University, a General Surgery Internship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Urology Residency at Hofstra Northwell Health School of Medicine in New York, and a Urologic Oncology Fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Salami is a translational surgeon-scientist whose research interests are in early detection and staging of prostate and kidney cancer. The goal of his research is to develop novel cancer biomarkers to overcome tumor heterogeneity and multifocality as well as elucidate optimal paradigms for early detection of urologic cancers, risk stratification, prognostication, and prediction of treatment response.  Dr. Salami is a recipient of numerous awards including the: Harvard University Presidential Scholar, Prostate Cancer Foundation Young Investigator, American Urological Association (AUA) Urology Care Foundation (UCF) Research Scholar, AUA UCF Rising Stars in Urologic Research, Harold Amos Medical Faculty Development Fellowship, Rogel Cancer Center Scholar, and Society of Urologic Oncology Young Investigator Awards. He has served on several National guideline committees, such as the AUA Prostate Cancer Early Detection Guidelines, the NCCN Prostate Cancer Early Detection Guidelines, and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Imaging PSMA PET Appropriate Use Criteria Working Group. His research is supported by multiple sources and includes funding from the Department of Defense, National Cancer Institute, and the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Mr. Euvon Jones, a stage IV prostate cancer survivor, Euvon Jones is a motivational speaker who advocates annual prostate checkups and, if diagnosed with prostate cancer, maintaining a healthy and meaningful quality of life through any treatment process.
The Baltimore, Maryland, native used his HVAC Mechanical Design skill set to manage and supervise projects in California, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., including, but not limited to, government contracts, NIH, Med-Star Georgetown University Hospital, and Georgetown University.
In 2011, while co-operating his HVAC firm, Mr Jones was suddenly diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer, with a psa level of 398, and which had metastasized to his lymph nodes and bones. He initially received the daily Casadex hormone therapy, as well as tri-monthly Lupron shots. Once the Casadex failed to be effective, his oncologist, Dr. Nancy A. Dawson, of Med-Star Gerogetown Hospital, recommended a six-week immunotherapy procedure designed to use his own white blood cells to boost his immune system to fight the cancer.
Euvon believes the immunotherapy, administered in 2013, along with his nutritional and environmental changes, have been successful in providing him with a positive quality of life. Since 2016, his psa levels have remained at 0.0, and the cancerous lesions in his bones and lymph nodes have receded. His wife, Janet, who steered their lifestyle in a healthier direction, chronicled their journey in her memoir, The Trial of Stage IV Prostate Cancer; A Wife’s Case for Faith, Hope, and Help, which is available on Amazon. The video, Euvon’s Story, which profiles the immunotherapy treatment he received, is also available to view online.
Currently, in addition to celebrating life with Janet, their four children, and six grandchildren, Euvon attends conferences, workshops, and symposiums encouraging men to get regular wellness checkups and, if diagnosed with prostate cancer, to become a student of their diagnosis, seek an astute medical team, and consider immunotherapy, if appropriate and available. Men are also challenged to include their loved ones in the process, since prostate cancer is not just an individual disease; rather, it involves an extensive and strong support system along with the medical team that, when fighting together, can be overcome.

Ms. Murakami serves as the Director of Advocacy Relations in Amgen Oncology Division. She manages a wide range of cancer advocacy programs, which help patients and reduce the impact of these cancers. Ms. Murakami works collaboratively with patient and patient advocacy organizations, like PHEN, to identify better ways to serve patients. Prostate is one area of focus involving educating the community and making them aware of the importance of early detection screening and the available treatment options, including clinical trials, for men diagnosed with prostate cancer. In addition to her work with Prostate cancer patients, she works to decrease the disparity gap in other cancer therapeutic areas.

Justin Lorentz is a certified genetic counselor and graduate from McGill University. He practices clinically at Medcan and he is the lead of Sunnybrook Health Science Centre’s Male Oncology Research and Education (MORE) Program; a registry for men with hereditary cancer. Justin is affiliated with the University of Toronto as an instructor. His academic interests are in hereditary prostate cancer and clinical applications of whole genome sequencing.

Dr. Neil Fleshner is a surgeon and clinician scientist and an established leader in the field of cancer prevention. He holds the Martin Barkin Chair, Division of Urology at the University of Toronto and is a Professor in the Department of Surgery at the same University. Additionally, he is Staff in the Division of Urology at the University Health Network and Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada and holds the Love Chair in Prostate Cancer Prevention at the Princess Margaret Hospital. He is also Head of Urology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Fleshner earned his MPH degree from the School of Public Health at Columbia University and completed his oncology training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He has achieved international reputation as a talented cancer researcher who has made significant contributions in the field of urologic oncology. His current research priorities include translational, clinical and health services research, focused primarily on understanding of prostate cancer pathogenesis, progression, and prevention. In addition to his clinical, academic and research commitments, he heads the University Health Network GU BioBank, a central data and specimen repository designed to support the use of biological fluids in disease discovery, prognostication and management. Dr Fleshner is an avid music lover and father of three. He has authored over 450 scientific papers and is a sought after speaker, both locally and internationally.

Mr. Barney Morris, a board member for Moffitt Cancer Center’s Prostate Cancer Advisory Round Table and a member of the national Oncology Research Information Exchange Network (ORIEN) Patient Advisory Council where as a cancer survivor he frequently uses his public speaking skills to motivate young and old in the importance of ccancer preventative care.   He is the Chairman of 100 Black Men of Tampa Bay Inc’s Health and Wellness Committee.  Barney is an alumnus of the University of Georga, University of California Riverside, Air Force Squadron Officer School and Air Force Air Command and Staff College.  He is also a decorated retired Air Force Officer (Major), having served a combined total of twenty years between Active Duty and Reserve specializing in Information Systems / Communications and Information Assurance / IT Security.  Barney recently retired as an Assistant Inspector in Charge with the United States Postal Inspection Service.
