Social Determinants of Health, Financial Toxicity, Policy Initiatives and the Racial Disparity
This session provided an understanding about social determinants of health. It identified and explored factors that impact on the prostate cancer racial disparity. Costs of treatment and care that can prove toxic in limiting patient access was presented. Important policy initiatives that can help eliminate the racial disparity was also reviewed and discussed.
