JERRY C. KNIGHT, is the Founder of “YOU’RE NOT ALONE PROSTATE CANCER SELF HELP SUPPORT GROUP” of Jackson, MS.  He is a native “Mississippian,” an advocate for Prostate Cancer, Salesman, EMS Driver, and a former Small Business Owner.  As a 5-year Prostate Cancer Survivor, Jerry regularly and passionately shares his cancer journey with male organizations, men’s church groups, and at targeted health and wellness events.  He and his wife Connie currently reside in Ridgeland, MS. They are the proud parents of 7 children, 19 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Jerry aspires to effectively impact men on all levels, by raising awareness focusing primarily on the African American Community.

Lee H. Moultrie II is a prostate cancer survivor (8 years) and a retired U.S. Air Force veteran. He served from 1994 during the Desert Storm and Desert Shield era. Lee is the PHEN Ambassador in North Charleston, South Carolina for the state of South Carolina. He is also the Ambassador for the Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina and the University of Florida Health—Proton Therapy Institute in Jacksonville, Florida. Both institutions are National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers.

Further, he is a member of the Medical University of South Carolina – Hollings Cancer Center on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee as well as a committee member and past executive board member of the South Carolina Cancer Alliance.

A few other healthcare advocacy committees that Lee is part of include the Patient and Family Experience of Roper Hospital, the Patient and Family Advisory Council of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina, and the In Our DNA Project of the Medical University of South Carolina. Further, Lee Moultrie is a Legislative Ambassador volunteering with the American Cancer Society and Zero Cancer.

In 2007, he was nominated for the Jefferson Award for Community Service and appeared in the 2008 Aetna African American History Calendar, which had the theme Health Literacy: A Dose of Understanding. Lee’s perspectives are included in several publications, such as a paper published in the Journal of the South Carolina Medical Association in 2006 before he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The paper’s title is Prostate Cancer Disparities in South Carolina: Two Generations Talking From a Male’s Perspective. By 2015, Lee was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Lee is also the CEO and Founder of www.choosetoliveformen.org. He is a regular contributor to the local newspaper with his health perspectives published in the Letters to the Editor section. Lastly, Lee was one of several participants in the very first PHEN Summit in Washington, DC in 2005.

Jill Daigneault, PhD is a Medical Science Liaison at Sumitomo Pharma America and holds a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from The University of Michigan. Following graduation, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado – Anschutz Medical Campus. Prior to joining Sumitomo, Dr. Daigneault was a scientific program manager at the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer. She has been in industry for the last 2.5 years.

Jay Jhaveri, MD, MPH currently serves as Director, Medical Affairs – Oncology at Bayer Pharmaceuticals. He performed a general surgery residency at the New York Medical College, a urology residency at the University of California, Irvine, and research and clinical fellowships at Weill Cornell, New York Presbyterian Hospital and the Henry Ford Health Systems, Vattikuti Urology Institute in prostate cancer outcomes research and minimally invasive urologic surgery, respectively. He also holds a Masters of Public Health in epidemiology and biostatistics and is very well published in several top-tier journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Journal of Urology, and the Oncologist.

John B Wong, MD is a primary care general internist and Vice Chair of Academic Affairs in the Department of Medicine at Tufts Medical Center and a Professor of Medicine at the Tufts University School of Medicine. He is a member of the US Preventive Services Task Force, a Master of the American College of Physicians, a past president of the Society for Medical Decision Making, and an Associate Statistical Editor at the Annals of Internal Medicine. His research focuses on the application of decision analysis to help patients, clinicians, and policymakers choose among alternative tests, treatments or policies, thereby promoting rational evidence-based efficient and effective patient-centered care that reflects individualized risk assessment and patient preferences. He received his BS with honors from Haverford College and MD from the University of Chicago and completed residency and medical informatics fellowship in Clinical Decision Making in Internal Medicine at Tufts Medical Center.

Ms. Angela Riemer serves as Vice President, Global Policy and Public Affairs, Oncology for Pfizer, one of the world’s largest research-driven health care products  companies. Before assuming her current role, Angela led Pfizer’s Federal Government Relations team.  Angela began health policy work at Medco Health Solutions as a director in that company’s government affairs division. She joined Medco after serving as Executive Director of the Congressional Black Caucus Political Action Committee (CBC PAC). Before that, Angela was marketing manager for start-up community development bank City First Bank of D.C. She started her career at Prudential Financial where she became a director in government affairs.

Angela is a member of the Silver Spring (MD) chapter of The Links Incorporated and the Montgomery County, Maryland Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Public Affairs Council.  Angela is a graduate of Princeton University. She lives in Takoma Park, Maryland with her husband Hans Riemer and their two sons.
