Session III:

September 23, 2026 | 1:00 – 3:30 PM EST

Empowering Voices in the Fight Against Prostate Cancer

Moderated by Tomeeka Miller, Director of Marketing & Special Assistant to the President

Advances in prostate cancer detection and treatment have enabled more men to live longer and healthier lives following diagnosis. However, survivorship brings its own challenges, including treatment decision-making, side effect management, mental health concerns, financial burdens, caregiving responsibilities, and maintaining quality of life. For Black men and their families, these challenges are often compounded by disparities in access to care, support services, and survivorship resources.

This session will explore the physical, emotional, financial, and social dimensions of survivorship while highlighting strategies, resources, and support systems that empower patients and caregivers to thrive. Through expert insights and personal stories, participants will gain practical guidance for navigating life after diagnosis and advocating for the best possible outcomes.
