Gdavis Productions & Films

Garrett Davis is the head of GDavis Productions, which began as Rhema Theatre Group Ministries in Raeford, NC, when Garrett wrote his first stage production, “Lord Why Me”.   The immediate success of that first production proved that heartfelt, authentic stories about our lives could truly resonate with people, lighting a fire that propelled us forward. That early beginning laid the foundation for everything to come, guiding our mission of blending entertainment with empowerment for nearly three decades and counting.

Gdavis Productions is committed to changing the narrative around how our community addresses health and social issues. Too often, critical topics like Alzheimer’s, diabetes, or caregiving have been overlooked or met with stigma, so we tackle them head-on through relatable characters and compelling stories — whether on stage, in digital media, short films, or documentaries.

We’ve pioneered an “info-tainment” approach that blends humor, drama, and education to engage audiences on a deeper level. By the end of each production— whether a live performance, streaming series, or filmed documentary—after the laughter and tears, our goal is for audiences to leave not only entertained but also enlightened and empowered with resources to confront the real-life challenges depicted in our work.

Award-winning playwright, filmmaker, and passionate advocate for health equity, Garrett Davis has dedicated his career to turning urgent issues into reality-infused entertainment that transforms lives nationwide.
