Presiding Elder Scot Moore is the founder and Senior Pastor of Judah Temple A.M.E. Zion Church in Mitchellville, Maryland. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Hofstra University and entered ministry in the A.M.E. Zion Church in 1994. He was ordained a Deacon in 1995 and an Elder in 1997.
In 1996, Pastor Moore founded Judah Temple, which grew from its first service into a thriving congregation and ultimately established its 23-acre campus, known as the “Land of Judah.”
Pastor Moore serves as International Director of the Men of Zion, the Men’s Ministry of the A.M.E. Zion Church, and as Presiding Elder of churches in Barbados and St. Vincent. His ministry focuses on strengthening men as Christians, husbands, fathers, and community leaders. He has preached and provided leadership throughout North America, Europe, and South Africa and has led numerous ministries focused on leadership development, young adults, and community outreach.
